The Best Things To Do Near Bryant Park

Bryant Park Manhattan is one of the most beloved parks in the city, popular with both New Yorkers and visitors alike.

Only a block away from Times Square and adjacent to the New York Public Library, you’ll find Bryant Park between Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas, and between 40th and 42nd Streets in Midtown Manhattan.

With so much to enjoy in and around this fantastically vibrant space, it’s no wonder that over 12 million people every year come here to make the most of all the delights on offer.

Want to start your day with a spot of yoga, or a game of backgammon in the park? You’ve got it. Coming with the kids and want to spend the afternoon exploring all sorts of creative and fun activities - all for free? You’re in the right place.

Enjoy the gorgeous flowers in spring and summer (bee keeping and birding tours, anyone?), and don’t forget to bring a blanket to sit and watch free movies and catch the casts from current Broadway shows performing right here.

The park changes with the seasons and there’s always things to do near Bryant Park, like brunch etc, so come back at another time to visit the Winter Village with free ice skating, bumper cars and the largest Christmas market in NY.

Open from 7am to 10pm every day, the park is a great place to relax and take a stroll, viewing its fabulous sculptures and impressive monuments, and some of the most iconic buildings in New York that surround it. Fully accessible for visitors using wheelchairs, there’s always free wifi, and handy free restroom facilities available too, located along 42nd Street, towards the New York Public Library.

There are some of the very best places to eat in New York right here too, and we’re proud to be one of them! Though we might be biased, no visit to Bryant Park would be complete without a visit to your favorite Burger and Lobster.

There are also lots of other things to do around Bryant Park, all within a short walk or cab ride, so next time you’re in town, stop by and say hello! Within a 9-minute walk, you can visit the Diamond District to further complete your New York trip.

Additionally, Union Square is just a short distance away, offering a lively atmosphere with its bustling greenmarket, unique shops, and vibrant street performances. A quick subway ride or a pleasant walk will take you to this iconic New York destination, where you can immerse yourself in the city's dynamic energy before or after your visit to Bryant Park.
